Intro
This site has languished for a lot of years.
I first ended up homeless about 14.5 years ago and bought a couple of very expensive tablets at that time because they were more backpack friendly and tent friendly than laptops which weren't even all that good at the time. And a lot of stuff on the Internet didn't work if you weren't on a PC.
I appear to be the highest ranked woman on Hacker News and was openly homeless for nearly six years while participating regularly. In some ways I was treated really atrociously and gaslit by people making money via Internet who were telling me "You can't make money via Internet."
On the other hand, my somewhat frequent complaints that "I'm on a tablet and homeless and it's my only computer access and that (website, widget, whatever) doesn't work for me." probably helped usher in mobile-first design standards. And now there's an app for everything and this site never really gelled because my goals for this site became universal standards in a way that made my little project obsolete.
Posting this site to HN as a Show HN with very little on it did surprisingly well. That may have helped make this project obsolete by fueling interest by programmers in making productivity apps and creating the rich mobile ecosystem we have today.
Because of my deteriorating eyesight, my phone is my only computer. I use it for everything and that includes stuff like filing taxes online which was unimaginable at one time.
However, there are still significant limitations on what I can do on my phone with regards to drawing apps and coding. I want to make a comic and that's failing to come together because I am failing to find a drawing app adequate to my needs and I want to learn to program.
I am leaving up the six existing old posts. I don't think they are completely useless. But I'm repurposing this site as a tool for trying to help me solve my new problems.

Previous About page. It currently has 8390 page views. The most trafficked post on the site is a little short of 7000 views. It seems likely the About page was directly shared for some reason substantially more than anything else here.
